Save as

With a target size, the tool picks the highest quality that fits, and only shrinks the image if even the lowest quality is too big. Target sizes work with JPG and WebP. PNG is lossless, so the quality slider doesn't apply to it. Images are only made smaller, never enlarged. Saving a new copy also drops the photo's EXIF data, such as camera details and location.

FAQ

Questions about jfif to jpg

Is the JFIF to JPG converter free?
Yes. It's free with no sign-up, no credits and no watermark.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. Conversion runs in your browser. Your photos never leave your device.
What is a JFIF file?
JFIF is the most common way of storing a JPEG image, so a .jfif file is a JPEG with an unusual file extension. Windows sometimes uses .jfif when you save an image from a browser, and some upload forms reject it because they only look for .jpg or .jpeg.
Can't I just rename .jfif to .jpg?
Usually yes, because the data inside is already JPEG. This tool saves a fresh JPG copy instead, which also lets you shrink the file or cap its size, and converts many files at once.
Will the JPG look the same?
Yes at the default quality of 92. Raise it to 100 for the closest match or lower it for smaller files.
Does it keep the photo's metadata?
No. Saving a new copy drops EXIF data such as camera details and GPS location.
