The starting numbers are only an example. Keystone pricing, where retail is double the wholesale price, is a common convention, not a rule: retailers set their own markups. Currency changes the symbol only.
wholesale = cost ÷ (1 − margin). A cost of 10 at 50% margin is 20.wholesale = cost × (1 + markup). A cost of 10 at 60% markup is 16.retail = wholesale × 2. Your own multiplier: retail = wholesale × multiplier.wholesale = retail × (1 − discount). 40 at 50% off is 20.Margin = (price − cost) ÷ price and markup = (price − cost) ÷ cost. For the retailer, the cost is your wholesale price.(retail − your cost) ÷ retail, before fees, shipping and ads. Use the profit margin calculator for those.Making a line sheet?
