    FAQ

    Questions about gif maker

    Is the GIF maker free?
Yes. It's free with no sign-up, no credits and no watermark.
    Are my photos uploaded?
No. The GIF is made in your browser. Your photos never leave your device. The encoder's code loads from a public CDN the first time you click Make GIF.
Why does my GIF look grainy or banded?
GIF can only use 256 colors in each frame, so smooth gradients and soft shadows get steps. Turn on dithering for smoother gradients. It usually makes the file bigger.
How do I keep the file small?
Use a smaller size, fewer photos and no crossfade. Each crossfade frame is a full frame, so 5 fade frames between 10 photos add 50 frames. The tool shows the file size and warns when the GIF is large.
Can I make a product spin?
Yes. Shoot the product from evenly spaced angles, add the photos in order and use a short time per photo, such as 0.1 or 0.2 seconds, with Loop forever.
Can I use the GIF in my product listings?
It depends on the platform. Many marketplaces don't accept GIFs in listing photos or show only the first frame, so check your marketplace's rules. GIFs work well in emails, social posts and chats.
