Pixelcut Alternatives (2026): 5 Product Photo Editors Compared

The best Pixelcut alternatives in 2026 are Photoroom ($7.50/month billed yearly for 1,000 exports), Picsart ($9.45/month billed yearly), Pebblely (AI backgrounds from $9/month), AiArter (scenes, white images and UGC video ads from $12/month) and remove.bg (cutouts from $9/month). Pixelcut Pro is $10/month, or $8/month billed yearly.

Disclosure: AiArter is our product, so read our entry with that in mind. Pixelcut is good value, and we say where it still beats the alternatives. Every competitor price below comes from the vendor's own pricing or help pages, checked in October 2026. Prices change, so check current pricing before you buy.

The short version
  • Pixelcut is hard to beat on price for cutouts. Pro includes unlimited background removal and upscaling, 600 AI credits and 1,000 batch exports a month for $8/month billed yearly.
  • Its free tier exports without a watermark, with limited background removal and upscaling, which few rivals match.
  • Switch if you need something specific: a more complete phone editor (Photoroom), a full design and video suite (Picsart), themed AI scenes (Pebblely), or listing sets plus video ads in a browser (AiArter).
  • Watch the daily caps. Pixelcut's AI Backgrounds, Generative Fill and Expand Image are capped at 300 a day on Pro.

What does Pixelcut include?

Pixelcut's pricing page lists three plans:

  • Free: limited background removal, upscaling, Magic Eraser, Generative Fill and Expand Image, and exports without a watermark.
  • Pro: $10/month or $8/month billed yearly. Unlimited background removal and upscaling, 600 AI credits a month, access to all AI models, a 3-person team, 1,000 batch exports a month and a commercial license. AI Backgrounds, Generative Fill, Expand Image and Pro Eraser are capped at 300 a day.
  • Business: $30/month or $24/month billed yearly. 3,600 AI credits a month, a 10-person team, 2,000 batch exports a month and daily caps up to 1,200.

AI credits are spent on third-party models for image and video generation; video credit usage is based on 5 seconds of generated video. Pixelcut also has iPhone and Android apps and an API product. People usually look for an alternative because they want a different style of AI scene, a fuller editor, or a workflow built around marketplace image sets.

Which Pixelcut alternative is best for each job?

1. Photoroom: the closest match on a phone

Photoroom is the most direct rival. Its pricing page lists Pro at $7.50/month billed yearly with 1,000 exports and 8,000 AI credits, and Max at $20.99/month billed yearly with 3,000 exports and the video generator. AI Fashion Models are included on paid plans, and there are iPhone, iPad, Android, web and Shopify apps.

Suits: sellers who want AI fashion models or a Shopify app. Read Photoroom vs Pixelcut for a head-to-head.

2. Picsart: when you need a full creative suite

Picsart is a general photo and video editor with templates, stock content and many AI models. Pro is listed at $9.45/month billed yearly, with advanced background and object removal, bulk editing of up to 50 images, 3+ brand kits and 100 GB of storage. Ultra is $33.75/month per seat billed yearly with bulk editing of up to 100 images and team seats.

Suits: sellers who make social posts, ads and videos as much as product photos. See Picsart alternatives.

3. Pebblely: themed AI scenes with a fixed image count

Pebblely is $9/month for 30 images, $19/month for 200 and $39/month for 500, with 40+ background themes and custom prompts on every plan and bulk generation on Basic and Pro. It doesn't aim to be a general editor.

Suits: sellers who mainly want lifestyle scenes. See Pebblely alternatives.

4. AiArter: marketplace image sets and video ads (our product)

AiArter is built around the images a listing needs. You upload your own photo; the product is cut out and kept as shot, and only the background is generated.

Where Pixelcut wins: Pixelcut is cheaper for unlimited cutouts, has phone apps, an API and a free tier without a watermark. AiArter is web only, has no API and no permanent free plan, and its trial images carry a small “Made with aiarter” mark.

5. remove.bg: cutouts only, with a desktop app

remove.bg does background removal only. Subscriptions start at $9/month for 40 credits, one per full-resolution image, and it offers an API, a Windows, Mac and Linux desktop app, a Photoshop extension and an Android app.

Suits: developers and designers who only need cutouts. For most sellers Pixelcut's unlimited plan is cheaper; see remove.bg alternatives.

How much do Pixelcut alternatives cost per image?

Pixelcut and Photoroom bill by exports and daily caps, Pebblely by images, and AiArter and remove.bg by credits. Here's the cost per image at full use.

Tool and planPriceWhat you getCost per image at full use
Pixelcut Pro$8/mo billed yearlyUnlimited cutouts; 1,000 batch exportsUnder 1 cent per batch export
Photoroom Pro$7.50/mo billed yearly1,000 exportsabout 0.75 cents
Pebblely Basic$19/mo200 images9.5 cents
AiArter Starter$12/mo1,000 credits4.8 cents (white); 9.6 cents (scene)
AiArter Studio$59/mo6,500 creditsabout 3.6 cents (white); 7.3 cents (scene)
remove.bg Personal$9/mo40 full-res images22.5 cents

On pure cutout cost, Pixelcut and Photoroom win clearly. The gap narrows when you count what each image includes: a centered 2000×2000 white image with a shadow, or an AI scene, takes extra steps in a basic cutout tool. For a sense of total cost, see how much product photography costs.

Only need to drop a plain white background?

If your photo was shot on a plain white or light backdrop, our free remove white background tool runs in your browser with no sign-up and nothing uploaded. It works best on simple, high-contrast shots.

How to choose a Pixelcut alternative

  1. Name what Pixelcut is missing for you: AI fashion models, a design suite, scene styles, marketplace sizes or video ads.
  2. Check daily and monthly caps, not just the plan price. Batch exports, AI credits and per-day limits all matter at volume.
  3. Decide phone or browser. Pixelcut, Photoroom and Picsart have phone apps; AiArter and Pebblely are used on the web.
  4. Confirm commercial use on the plan you'll actually buy. Trial output on AiArter is for testing and personal use only.
  5. Run a side-by-side test on tricky products, and use our bulk background remover if batches of 50 fit your workflow.
