Full disclosure: AiArter is our product. Neither Pebblely nor Pixelcut is ours, so we compare the two on their own terms first and mention AiArter once at the end. Every price and feature below comes from each vendor's own pricing page, checked in October 2026. Prices change, so check current pricing before you buy.

The short version
  • Pebblely does one job: placing your product in AI-generated scenes, with 40+ themes and custom prompts on every plan.
  • Pixelcut does many jobs: background removal, upscaling, magic eraser, generative fill, AI backgrounds, batch editing and AI video, on web and phone.
  • Free option: Pixelcut has a free tier with limited background removal and upscaling; Pebblely's pricing page lists only paid plans.
  • Units differ: Pebblely counts images; Pixelcut counts AI credits, daily limits and batch exports.

Is Pebblely or Pixelcut better for AI product backgrounds?

Pebblely, if AI scenes are all you need; Pixelcut, if scenes are one task among many. Pebblely is built around the scene: upload a product, choose one of 40+ themes or write a prompt, and generate. There's very little else to learn, and the per-image price is easy to predict.

Pixelcut's AI Backgrounds sit inside a larger editor. On Pro you get up to 300 AI background generations a day alongside generative fill, image expansion and a pro eraser at the same daily limit, so you can fix a cutout, remove a stray object and generate the scene in one place. Scene quality varies with the product and prompt in every AI tool; shiny products, glass and labels with small text are the hardest, so test those first.

Is Pebblely or Pixelcut better for background removal?

Pixelcut. Background removal is one of its core tools, unlimited on Pro and Business and available in limited form on the free tier, with a bulk image editor for batches. Pebblely's plans are sold by generated images and themes, and it doesn't market background removal as a standalone tool. If you need clean white or transparent images for marketplace main photos, Pixelcut covers that directly.

Pebblely vs Pixelcut pricing: which is cheaper?

Pixelcut is cheaper to start (free, then $10/month), and Pebblely is easier to predict per scene. Here's what each plan lists:

PlanPriceWhat you get
Pebblely Lite$9/mo30 images, 40+ themes, custom prompts, no bulk
Pebblely Basic$19/mo200 images, bulk generation
Pebblely Pro$39/mo500 images, bulk generation
Pixelcut Free$0Limited background removal and upscaling, export without watermark
Pixelcut Pro$10/mo or $8/mo yearly600 AI credits/mo, 3 seats, 1,000 batch exports, commercial license
Pixelcut Business$30/mo or $24/mo yearlyMore credits, 10 seats, 2,000 batch exports

A direct cost-per-scene comparison isn't possible from the pricing pages alone. Pebblely's Basic plan works out to 9.5 cents per image at full use and Pro to 7.8 cents. Pixelcut prices AI work in credits that vary by model and also caps some tools per day, so the cost of one AI scene depends on the model you pick. For background removal and upscaling, which are unlimited on Pixelcut Pro, Pixelcut is clearly the better value.

Pixelcut's credit numbers

On the day we checked, Pixelcut's Business plan text said 3,600 AI credits a month while its comparison table showed a much larger figure. Treat Pixelcut's per-model estimates as approximate and check your account's actual credit use on a few test images.

Do Pebblely or Pixelcut make product videos?

Pixelcut does; Pebblely's pricing page doesn't list video. Pixelcut's pricing page lists AI video models that draw on your AI credits, with usage counted per 5 seconds of generated video, so short clips for TikTok or Reels come out of the same credit pool as images. Pebblely's plans are for still images. If you want moving product content without a separate tool, that favors Pixelcut, but watch how quickly video uses credits. Our turn a product photo into a video guide covers what to expect from image-to-video tools.

Which is better for sellers on a phone?

Pixelcut. It has iPhone and Android apps, so you can shoot, cut out, edit and export from the same device. Pebblely's site doesn't list a mobile app; it's used in a browser. If most of your listing work happens on a phone (common for resellers on Poshmark, Depop or eBay), that alone may decide it.

Pebblely vs Pixelcut: which should you choose?

  • Choose Pebblely if you already have clean product photos and want a simple tool that turns them into lifestyle scenes, billed per image.
  • Choose Pixelcut if you need background removal, upscaling, cleanup and scenes in one app, want a free tier to start, or work mostly on a phone.
  • Choose both only if you produce a lot of scenes and a lot of cutouts; most small sellers need one.
  1. List the images each product needs: main white image, scenes, channel sizes.
  2. Count monthly volume for each type, since the tools bill different units.
  3. Test the same three products in each: one shiny, one with small label text, one with fine edges.
  4. Compare the finished images at 100% zoom, especially labels and logos.
  5. Work out cost per finished image at your real volume, not the plan price.

A third option if you want the product kept exactly as shot

AiArter (our product) is a browser-based option for marketplace images. It cuts out your real product and generates only the background, so labels and colors stay as photographed. A white main image costs 4 credits, a lifestyle scene from the AI background generator 8 credits and each extra channel size 8 credits. Starter is $12/month for 1,000 credits. It has no mobile app and no permanent free plan; there's a 7-day trial with 50 credits.
